[The following is a reworked copy of a letter posted earlier today by me to my many cronies and hangers-on mainly here in the Mankato, MN, and South-Central Minnesota & Greater Iowa region, of the Once-United States — ERS]
HELLO, Everybody, as you know I am no Democrat, and this video (below) is equally a load of propaganda and the old swill.
HERE’S The link:
IT Is a creation of the liberal-democrat Move On organization:
HOWEVER, I am also re-reading just now Albert Eisele’s tremendous and moving 1972 account of Almost To The Presidency, and, it seems dead-obvious to me that messrs Clinton and Obama, unlike Mr Vice President Hubert Humphrey and Mr Senator Eugene McCarthy did in 1968, had very well better bury the hatchet.
In short, they must come together on one ticket.
This finding is just objective, of course, not least because it is from an authetically legitimate conservative or archimedean perspective, namely mine.
And it is shown to be so by the following recent item in Bodwyn Wook, and especially as demonstrated by some of the comments by Augsburg college (Minneapolis) 2008 graduate “krakkisdottir.”
From her remarks, and with all allowances for the brashness of youth, it should be obvious that first of all there is far less student involvement on the campuses, emotionally, than ever in 1968. This is probably not least because there is no draft breathing now down the necks of these young ones.
Secondly, however, the sceptical and sarcastic tone suggests urgently that Democrats born before 1955 had darn well better have the decent modesty to defer for once and for all to our young, and to that younger and more-creative wing of the Democrat Party, and so to push together with all the others, for Mr Senator Obama as President.
Poor Mrs Senator Bill Clinton seems now to be mainly a dumpster full of dead cats to our youngsters:
KRAKKISDOTTIR’S Remarks on politics reveal much about the actual student atmosphere of today, I suspect:

You say things about Jung in Bodwyn Wook every so often and my dad is worried that Obama is really like Kennedy, and will get shot like Bobby did forty years ago and he says, being endorsed by any Kennedys is really a bad scary thing. He says it is unconscious of them to do that to any candidate because it is a myth that is at work and in this case, that means it is like a speed governor on an engine so you can’t go too fast. All organisms have a self-destruct program so that America is not forever anymore than anything else (it’s kind of like cancer or something), and our history of assassinations are a built-in cue that we’re getting way too many big bitch on campus ideas again like the great society and Vietnam in the sixties. The processor can’t handle it all, that’s what all this idealism that people are saying now really means, and although there isn’t way mucho lozzo of it here the people on campus who are wideband about it all want Obama except a for few young conservatives for Jesus and MORE toys, and who anyway aren’t taken very seriously because of all the Bush Iraq screwing around. The recession now means that these GOP dateless Daryls will have to shut up for awhile anyway and watch You Porn and quit complaining about the GLBT student activists and stuff. That’s too bad, but Hillary is just way boring because they all used to be the future, we are now and if anything all want Obama. I mean I know it won’t solve anything, not really but it will at least get rid of at least some bad people even though others will pop up, time for a creep-break! That’s all because Aunty Pippi knows they’re all over, but that’s all for now, me, Ferret

It’s finally just time to drop off these republican kids at the pool. And if Hillary would just go commando or something over the edge, anything would be more exciting. [To “go commando” means going about without underwear on, and not, as I thought, “going on the rag” about more things in her campaign; evidently the Senator from New York is not regarded as too exciting by today’s students — ERS] Otherwise it should be Barack Obama for President. The Republicans have nothing to offer now and a lot of it. That’s that, I’ve got to go put everything! in the dryer. Back in a bit, NEW laptop today here at the laundry, bye, Me some more!

So ms krakisdottir, did /you/ go and holler stuff for/against Ms Palid Hillary today on campus there at Augsburg? MPR claims at their website that 4000 showed up. I notice that Mr Vice President Fritz Mondale got up for her — but maybe he’ll do the deed for Mr Obama, too, if and when?

No, my roomies are all away on January projects…and anyway, didn’t she vote for the invasion of Saddam too like all the rest of them, so what’s in any of that bullshit for us now? Or like you write US? Or any of the little kids in Iraq? Just another ass pain that wants to president, bfd, or am I missing something? Maybe it is a mental illness like people say [this reference is to the desire to be President, widely held to be “normal” — ERS], and I do too love everybody, so don’t say I’m cynical but [keeping my ] _distance_ really helps lots, lots of it I mean, me, THE Ferret!
[A Final note: “dropping the kids off at the pool” refers to defecation; in this case sending Republicans down the toilet — ERS]
ON The eve of “Super Tuesday” now — and as a conservative and libertarian, and yet (simply because I am not a fanatic and do not spread poison!) accepting that most Americans are simply not now up to the austere demands of any actual individual and bona fide self-reliance — at this point I would suggest that Mrs Senator Clinton would be a more-than-able Vice President especially because of her long experience at the fiscal trough, and with coercing and arm-twisting legislation into being in the legislative corn-boiler. Needless to say, neither I nor anyone intelligent is any fan of most of what Mrs Senator Clinton propounds — but, it would be a blessed break regardless, from the vile shenanigans of the maladept and thieving, unsympathetic, figure of Mr Vice President “Dick” Cheney, The Wyoming Screw Fly.
If only out of sympathy for that non-moral gentleman’s health, Americans should put him and his party out of office for a well-deserved break from all the horrible and nixonian, neurotic, pressure of all their churning and internal, eternal, hatreds and that gut-wrenching and psychologically unwholesome, rather lurid (“terrorism!”), power-drive of theirs.
Again as a patriot and American, I would far rather have a Democrat win this Fall than that any of these “ultra-conservative” and born-again, zionistic, NeoCon quacks and viciously unpatriotic and unconstitutional, simply un-American, criminal Republicans, these actual traitors to our land and liberties and Constitution, be returned to orifice.
In closing, of course I must acknowledge the cynical truth, namely that since most of us are not up to real freedom, I need you all to vote “democratic” so that I and the bare handful of others who hold a deeper, a higher and wider, truly spacious, view may honestly and forthrightly as befits free men and women — men and women above all free of themselves! — vote for Libertarian Party candidates without risking unduly the fatal accursed return of these Goddess-condemned Rape Ugly Cons!
HOWEVER, And as matters now stand, it is the cold truth that this election right now is not a “guaranteed shoe-in” as we say in America; and, still less is it a “done deal” for the Democrat Party. Democrats can still lose this thing — and, so, they all need to remember that while some in-fighting is purgative and, indeed, beneficial, a lot is suicidal and just another case of the 1968 Chicago hog cholera.
And, please remember this, not only do I and that scant dusting of the other actually adult among Americans lurk and cock our affectionate sneers…there is the grim actinic Mr Ralph Nader skulking also, grimacing in the wings and spitting saliva, all full fit and ready to spoil all for all, not least the fraticidal “democratic!”
