by Bodwyn Wook
HERE Follows an usage-, or an editorial-, note about the practise of the English and American languages, at Bodwyn Wook. In these happy superior pp, the form God–damned occurs not-infrequently, nor in inappositon. Some, however, notwithstanding have corresponded to object; and, indeed, to question the very effectiveness of the language.
One puzzled correspondent has gone so far as to say that they can perceive no informational difference whatsoever, as between God-damn and the plainly-exhausted and low-class, low-IQ, usage, of ‘- you!’
This is disingenuous.
The latter, the so-called ‘f-word’, for a fact of course is banned from the pp of Bodwyn Wook; and, bluntly, it is so debarred simply as a class-matter: thus to make distinct discrimination, as between sense; and, wrought sensibility merely.
Whereas God-damn in its various adjectival declensions indeed doeth have — for how ever could it not? — a specific and denotative, synonomic, entire body of meanings.
For to be ‘God-damned’ is now, to-day and in a faithless age, not only religiously loathsome any more, as for instance in the case of the sitting american President and Vice-President; or, in that of anyone who continues yet to repose faith in the thoroughly criminalised american ‘two-party system’; for now, as well, this fell reinforcement of epithet means yet further — alas, the dire specificity unspecious! — that the object of the just universal reprobation is not only absolutely and irremediably for Hell; but that, and that God-damnably indeed, also they are as illy well:
a) the objective enemy of mankind, forasmuch they have set themselves for filthy temporary advantage against the English & United States Constitutions;
b) objectively, false conservatives or so-called ‘liberals’; and,
c) (in all cases, equally objectively,) lunatic careerists & professionallised moral halfwits; and/or,
d) dionysiac sociopaths and credentiallised or professionallist perverts: as in the case of the objectively rather-obviously paedophiliac Mr Karl Rove. (Or, in the matter of any outland psychologist and subsidised podiatrist of Terre de Bleu City, here at home in Squawbunion County in this rotted-through american ‘heartland’.)
IN Other words, we cannot insist strongly enough on the dispassionate and, indeed, absolutely scientific clarity and ‘hard’ meaning, of the form God-damned; and, above all, in these enlightened philosophic pp. Nor may we yield either ounce or inch of any of it, an it were literature — nay, more, the very literacy itself — yet meant to /live/!
Simply, it is universally suitable to our contemporary distresses in all of its permutations; and, of theirs as well.
In support of this assertion, may we propose a simple experiment of, say, a fortnight’s duration?
If you yourself, the sagacious and intelligent reader of Bodwyn Wook, will only take pains to begin applying this positively linnaean nosology, to all the quotidian legions of procrustean nincompoops that infest our post-modern malaise on every hand in gangs and relays; and, getting in your way too, continuously and everyday: you then, too, will come to appreciate — and embrace it utterly! — this stated ‘God-damn’s’ once-again completely-dispassionate and objective, utility.
For an it transcends mere ‘efficiency’, there be then no other mode half so suitable; and, not least of all for communicating the full weight to them, of their vicious and deliberately self-indulgent, starkly lazy, inferiority — to the very inferior, themselves:
‘YOU! God-damned FOOL…You FOOLS! God-DAMNED.’
YOU May believe us, therefore, an we tell you now that M Henri Luc himself, editor of Bodwyn Wook, has stated to the board and syndics of the very otiose PMLA:
‘There be simply no finer portmanteau adjectival-phrase in all of spoken or written English or American to-day…an you seek that one which moreover, and in any case for application, so clearly stands upon ORDERS of magnitude above the witless and omnipresent, jejeune, f-this, that and the other…..
‘For this, sadly, is our miserable early-postmodern condition of to-day, ‘gangs and relays’ indeed, swarming all around…gangs and relays everywhere, maggoty writhings — OF the God-DAMNED!’
