by A Humanist
Postmodernism is the all-inclusive multicultural solution and academically-approved and governmentaly-regulated way of secure psychological and income-guaranteed progressive social improvement for the individual humanist at all levels of advancement.
All find themselves at different developmental stages of course, in this democratic process of gaining professional helping-credentials and eliminating irrationality and social injustice and religion.
One participant in our open society sees a carefully and professionally presented factual story on Tee Vee about the young terrorist from the muslim countries with his unsanitary and sometimes verminous turban full of jealousy of western psychosexual freedom and antisemitism, flying hijacked airliners into office buildings full of admittedly politically-incorrect business workers toiling under the yoke of global selfish greedy capitalism, some of whom undoubtedly oppose universal healthcare and antismoking bans and probably need therapy. Enraged by a regretable momentary lapse of cross-cultural empathy, the postcontemporary pacifist quits grad school, joins the Army and goes overseas, only to succumb to prodromal PTSD and post naked pictures of Iraqi and Afghan prostitutes on the internet….
Another who has already finished a master’s degree (M.S.) enlists in the Army too, but realizes from thorough helpful training that the muslims of course are victims of sexism and religious patriarchy just like all mentally-ill clients. We are all just the same after all, so this troop wangles a soft job in civil affairs with matching funds from Rutgers and Halliburton, because as is widely taught in post-latemodern socialwork and counseling theory, one can only make contact with disturbed personalities on an individual basis. After all an encouraging motto from college days is:
“The personal is political.”
And so this second enlistee sets up a drop-in and domestic-abuse counseling center inside the Baghdad Green Zone by the Burger King where the clients can all be safe, and subsequently finds out that this coup is indeed regarded as valuable paraprofessional field-experience that can become a Ph.D. with the mere writing of a short descriptive paper of the summary counseling modalities now on offer, in Iraq….
And so encouraged by synergy and synchronicity, we all move forward together serendipitously on the scientific path of political and professional evolution.
This is the objective situation.
