This one will really make your hair stand on end! It’s a movie about the first autopilot (in the 1930s!), in a Curtiss Condor commercial airliner:
This is a piece of History more timely now than ever, since another, postmodern airliner out East packed it in last week with iced-up wings, reportedly on autopilot. Fifty people died and, eerily, you can see here for yourselves how their fate was sealed, in bright and shining late-modern optimism over seventy years ago…in the depths of the (last?) Great Depression.
