Some High Summer Satisfactions of the Superior Insight

Everybody in Longrider’s web log was after the English crown at the end of June:
Finally, after Aunty went after HRH Wales on account of his ears, Mr Wook gave Mr Smith permission to take a stab at it:
Oh, gripe, mumble, bitch, complain…. Without monarchy you’ll just be another run-of-the-pregnancy-test regulatory EU pisshouse like Roumania or Beloruss, or something, or else us here in the States. Charlie Duce was a twat and Jasper Deuce another, at least this one talks about The Abominations, factory farms, bad (!) architecture and such….
And, as to “constitutional,” the great thing about a LIVING constitution IS that it IS subject to revision and initiative from DIFFERENT quarters, AND historical “progress” is NOT always unidirectional.
Too much of this castrated “monarchy” HAS played its part in landing us all in the Old Atlantic West in this egualitarian and postmodern, greasy, basin of puke, along with the Baby Peter killers and Ms Shoesole or whatever, as well as all of these low NuHorseshit amuck Scotchmen and Real (!) IRAs, running around loose and drooling. ABOVE ALL, what the “common man” (and “his” grubby besotted retinue of grim females!) more than anything needs shoved up his jacksey on a QUOTIDIEN basis is THE omnipresent AND ASHAMED sensation that, YES, there ARE others who ARE “better than I am,” me with my vile cesspit of a little computer monitor full of porno and (Jesus Christ!) Pro “Wrassling” videos.
And, this is objectively so even when — and, maybe, especially when! — the “better than” part is ALL fairytales and a load of claptrap about “aristocracy.”
Aristocracy does not have to be a sham forever; and, if you don’t — can not — buy that, then better you should off them all — and continue to take your medications for N-HADD (“Non-Historical Awareness Deficit Disorder.”)
(Not you, Aunty, just, well…”you” all know who you are!)

Mr Davis rightly was on about the umbral Nazism latent always in the overweening Professionalist State, but slipped the clutch a bit on Israel in my opinion:
Hence the following objective correction:
I expect we shall have to agree to disagree on Israel. In fact, the idea of shifting all of these tortured and miserable, still not-wanted, people out of Europe and onto the backs of some peasant farmers abroad was — and, supporting this all remains — the most vile kind of disguised antisemitism. To begin with, the Zionist movement represented in itself the most decided “generation gap” in Jewish history, short of the decision of many Jews at the Enlightenment to abandon their family creed, at the time of Napoleon. Zionism was an entirely understandable response to the tsarist pogroms and the dimly-perceived looming upwelling of the germanic psychic sewer after the Dreyfus outbreak among the West Franks. But, it is still not clear to me that the rationale that this is all “for the sake of the dead” and “that there be no more victims” holds good on either point. The people who died in their millions in the main, I expect, wanted to harm no one and simply to be left alone. The people whom our policymakers were only too glad at bottom to see out of Europe were allowed to go off willy-nilly and anachronistically playing at Settlers & Red Indians at the eve of the ending of the colonial age. It is all very well to speak of the great personal obligation that men, in the main of honor, such as Truman and Churchill may have felt toward individuals — but, paying off ones obligations as in investment banking with other people’s stuff — and lives — is both an old stunt and not right. It is perfectly “historical” so to do, of course, and in the main is sure to guarantee more…History.
As a Libertarian, however, I would feel it just not on to try to look at this all in any other way, and the added irony is (especially in the light of literalist Nazi “theory”) that the Palestinians, whom everyone desperately wishes were a made-up “people,” probably have more actual Jewish blood, going back to before Vespasian, than these hatchet-faced Ashkenazi.
(Altogether of course, just maybe, we are only lucky that the first Nazis didn’t have DNA swabs, these remain the purlieu and appurtenance of the the post-Hitler “U”K/EU.)
[Several commentors pondered the agonising riddle of anti-semitism, whereat I then continued — BW]
If only the manifest and obviously material causes of hatred and frantic cruelty were the whole of any explanation. One cannot be either libertarian or muslim without being a thoroughgoing optimist, after all, certainly not if one is going to get to the heart of the matter, which is a direct and living relation with all of the future — and beyond. That said, it is raining on no ones parade, I trust, to acknowledge that Evil draws a lot of water still in this epoch of the omniverse, and when mental and moral laziness enter into the experience of a Nature just starting to become self-aware, taken together with a great of sloganeering, then whole populations of creatures once again are for the high jump. On one level, this is all simply a consequence of the high signal-to-noise ratio of existence on the present inefficient molecular scale. As matter now stands (NB), a lot of the physical business of biological life keeps many confined to “reasoning” on this pretty exclusive either-or basis:
“Either I, Arab or Jew, get to eat the sandwich, or the other Semite….”
Almost by biological definition and because of all these brawling homeostases that, so to speak, want to “stop time,” the whole problem of History may be said to be that of anachronism.
(To return to the crass milieu anew, I perceive that the only legitimate stand any constitutional territorial state can take is to insist on equal treatment in law for all dwelling in Israel-Palestine, certainly as the quid pro quo for support of the Israeli state against hamhanded buffoons of the Ahmadimaboarhogswilly and Hosemeagain Mudbark school. The real question, for western states certainly, is to what extent our sovereignties have been already compromised by that tarbaby in the Levant and, now, quagmire, not in Iraq [for the decision of History was never there, only one of its frail beginnings] but Afghanistan, that testing ground on many occasions, of the final viability of not a few states — and, empires.)

Longrider yesterday wrote some interesting things about the railway situation in England, to-day:
The whole story of railroading belongs to the late-modern age in a very decided way!
The history of railways is about synonymous with the emergence of the nation-state. Steam power was first practically applied in transportation at about the time of the Reform Act of 1832, but in Europe and North America really only got going after the Civil and Blanc Mange-Bratwurst wars. The size and power of railways and railroads was in direct proportion to how much they were yielded by states at the outset of a company’s existence, notably in grants of right of way. Without these valuable rights in real property, the scale of capitalization to allow construction of an “Allegheny” or “Big Boy” locomotive it seems to me should have been inconceivable. Like Conrad’s sailing ships, these are indeed things of beauty called into being by a crass motive. In short, from the eve of High Modernity right down through the end of the late-modern age of 1865-71 to 1989, there has been this complex economic dance of government and corporate finance. Perhaps Dr Hayek and Dr von Mises have gotten somewhere in the study of it all, but I will be Goddess-condemned if I know how ever we are going to get the wonderful Nellie engines without these awful embroilments and constant public hold-ups!
[another commentor weighed in to say that he views railways as a public amenity for which he is happy enough to be taxed — if they are run properly — BW]
‘Railways are not meant to be businesses. They are there in the service of the people and I expect part of my tax pound to go to maintaining it.’
I wish it were so…I expect that many of us who are libertarian indeed mourn the fact that people as yet in fact simply are not good quite enough to make the public sector work really well! “A bunch of God-damn hogs posing as commies!” said my ninety-one-years’ old farm neighbour, Mr Judson Andersen, once — and, I do believe, HE never seen a copy of Animal Farm in his life!

In An Englishman’s Castle to-day, the point is well made, it is the little straws…:
In The Battleship Potemkin it was the maggots in the rotten beef and the sneering doctor with his monocle pretending not to see them that pushed the sailors over the edge, and ripped the rag off the bush…. But at the Nore, as I recall reading, the sailors stayed dead loyal and simply wanted the Admiralty to make and to keep a few agreements. This goodnatured legacy of durable loyal Jack Tar has deceived these sociofascists of yours with their dim, stupid, surfacy inadequate “idea” of History, and like our professional pen rabbits here they ARE saving up a Hell of an ass kicking for themselves!
Like the Russian madame said, “It ain’t the vodka…it’s the God-damn STEPPES!”
And, Longrider some days since was on about the moronic nonstop insistence, in England by the sociofasists, on national ID cards:
Jesus, this guy Longrider cites is a pinhead.
There’s a lot of drool here, too, about this stuff because of Homeland “Security” careerist amabitions and so on…you can bet a pinch will get you a pound of our very own Squawbunion County pig shit that IF they come up with a national healthcare deal here, it will be tied to a ID card “so you can schedule more easily appointments to see Doctor.”
Blah, blah, blah…what about this bone wiener Johnson’s own colleagues and minions staggering around drunk in the London subway and leaving briefcases full of data sticks and CDs laying all over the place?
I swear to Christ this IS a Sufi teaching operation from top to bottom!

Anticant made the following passionate posting to-day, on the matter of the on-going task of human beings to come to truly care for one another. He wrote specifically in the context of the human rights of LGBT people, but of course the greater point is generally human, rather than particularly so:
All that said, tolerance however grudging is practically all that one may hope for on a constitutional or legal level. Equal protection in law is no mere bagatelle, however, and as the sometime father of a gay stepson I too care very much for the work of, now, generations of gay rights acitivists.
But the goal of “all” in society “truly” loving one another (our real dream & longing, nicht wahr?) is the task indeed not of law nor even of education but, properly speaking, culture. This last however is a slippery archetypal thing and in any case we can not let down our guard. As to the horrific prejudice in some quarters in Islam and the Catholic Church, there are indeed many longterm operations in human culture that are conducted latently and specifically as teaching operations. In practice, the church and ulema boils over periodically with hordes of indeed evil child molesters, and this is the precise penalty in hypocrisy for all the strident clinging to outworn prohibitions.
The whole function of taboo as the Sufis contend is often to stimulate resistance, violation and hence maturation.
Needless to say it is a miserable circumstance for the victims of abuse that as a creature we do seem on average to continue no better at learning than this. One need only gaze at all the doltish hydrogenated waxy faces in the London and New York subways to see that this is so.
Alas, the victims of all of this “teaching.”

The More Things Explode, The More They Stay Blown Up And On Fire
President Johnson authorised new air strikes on North Vietnam in early December. Reports circulated overseas that targets overlapped civilian neighbourhoods. The Pentagon said that was absurd. Then the first accredited American correspondent to visit Hanoi in twelve years, Harrison Salisbury of the New York Times, wired back his eyewitness accounts. The first ran on December 25 on page 1.
Merry Christmas, Mr. President:
A Visitor to Hanoi Inspects Damage Laid to U.S. Raids
President Johnson’s announced policy that American targets in North Vietnam are steel and concrete rather than human lives seems to have little connection with the reality of attacks carried out by U.S. planes.
Salisbury ended up publishing twenty-two pieces on the subject that winter. He reported eighty-nine civilian deaths in one town, forty in a second, twenty-four in a third – and that, in this “brushfire war,” more bombs had been dropped on Vietnam since 1966 than the entire tonnage dropped on Japan during World War II. In Nam Dinh, North Vietnam’s third-largest city, he wrote of “block after block of utter desolation.” He said the targeting of civilians was going on “deliberately”.
The Pentagon claimed what civilian casualties there were came from the Communists’ deliberate emplacement of surface-to-air missiles in populated areas. Or from the necessity of jettisoning bombs when attacked by MiGs. And that the eighty-nine deaths were evidence of “rather precise” bombing. Spokesman Arthur Sylvester – he called Salisbury’s paper the “New Hanoi Times” – said if Salisbury doubted them, he should take a gander at the anti-aircraft guns up the street of Nam Dinh, right by the railroad tracks. Salisbury, who’d been covering bombings since the London Blitz, said he’d already been there and had found only a destroyed textile factory.
Lying about Vietnam: it had become a Washington way of life…”

[from the on-line pp of
Mr Smith, writing on behalf of CC [retd] Wook, notes that “nonstop abuse of inflated and distorted terms (lying, eg) by hypercredentialised Public Liberals of all parties, including the so-called (in French) GOP ‘New Cunts,’* has been a commonplace of American public life since at least 1956, when for the first time more Americans were ’employed’ in the ‘service’ rather than the productive economy. This is a late-historical pattern, I perceive, and short of a global collapse of the human order and the consequent opportunity for survivors to rebuild free societies, the only chance Liberty may now have is secession from the federal union. In principle this IS doable as we have now the precedents argued notably in Yugoslavia by these same Public Liberals, and in the context of their emerging World Court idea.
“What is sauce for the pissbrain must surely be sauce for the used pantyliner, nicht wahr?”

If Not the End of History, Then…Irony?
One of the UK bloggers, who shall stay nameless here, in a weak moment averred that the anachronistic crop of late-modern statists now floundering in the Early Postmodern nonetheless are, somehow, “winning” their campaign to eliminate personal freedom and political liberty in the Old Atlantic West. They are, moreover, using Islam (the ‘multiculturalism’ shibboleth, eg) to do it. Since Public Liberals themselves are aghast both at real horrors such as the pre-islamic persistance of clitorodectomy, as well as the rather less unreasonable islamic insistence that people should keep their clothes on in the streets, the fact that liberalists are conducting an actual shooting war against all this wadded-together “terror” somehow got lost sight of. Oh, well, ’tis all grist for the mill:
Interesting, the assertion…that these post-secular, post-humanist, post-contemporary and post-moral & constitutional Public Liberals are said to be “winning the strategic war.” Surely then there is no irony in the World any more whatsoever, and certainly none at all in the Russian offer to assist the US to “accessing” their, um, turn in…Afghanistan? People abroad are starting to notice the necessary element of the tawdry and hypocritical even in our new President Obama’s speeches overseas:
I for one would like to see for example Minnesota, Western Wisconsin and Hither Dakota secede from the “United” States. Or at least a much looser confederation of states. Perhaps to resume self-government under the original Constitution w/especial emphasis on the 14th Amendment to insure, precisely, equal treatment & protection under the law.
The contemporary college-trained (“educated” is not the word in the American case!) and professionally certified statists and Public Liberals of ALL parties naturally smell in this the end to their self-importance, and so are “dead agin” it.
The American nationalists’ real problem is not having acted like the British Empire before them, and I might add at every point of the compass. Their real problem is having set dangerous precedents for “self-determination” in OTHER ramshackle low ratholes, like Yugoslavia. This is about to rise up and bite them in the ass, perhaps, and so President Obama has to pander on this one to Russian pretension in the Caucasus, Chechneya, Georgia and so on. The deal being then that the ex-Reds will keep out of OUR Georgia, the Monroe Doctrine and all that.
I note that the Russians are perfectly willing to aid and abet us in reaching for our ration of foolishness now, in Afghanistan…all that in return for some hypothetical committment to a later (!?) nuclear reduction haggle.
I am only glad we have no reports as yet that the Russians, who can be pretty uncultured and delight in roughhouse pranks on so many levels, did not in private offer the President and his family a dish of bananas and some watermelon, and give to his little girls a beautifully bound Russian translations…of the Uncle Remus and Curious George stories….
I know what I am like though, so you can bet at least SOME of the sclavonophone skunks were anyway thinking it!

Some Are Born To Be Offended…Others Must Be Coached, Come Hell Or High Water
This, from The Telegraph, is instructive:
Burger King Apology to Hindus for Advert
Burger King has been forced to apologise to Hindus after it showed a revered Indian goddess with a ‘forbidden’ Whopper burger.
By Dean Nelson, South Asia Editor.
09 Jul 2009
The advertisement shows a picture of Lakshmi, the Indian goddess of wealth, about to eat one of the beef burgers, which are forbidden under Hindu religion
The fast food chain quickly withdrew the advertisement from its stores in Spain after Hindus across the world complained at the denigration of their religion.
The ‘Texican Whopper’ is an affront to Hindu sensitivities in its own right – it includes an all-beef patty, a beef chili-con-carne slice, egg-based Cajun mayonnaise, all forbidden by strict Hindus. Some devotees would even be offended by the inclusion of onions which they believe inflame passions.
But it is the depiction of Lakshmi which has provoked widespread anger with its suggestion that a Hindu deity eats beef.
The goddess and the burger were placed under a slogan claiming ‘La merienda es sagrada’ – the snack is sacred.
Burger King quickly withdrew the posters and issued an apology after world Hindu leaders condemned the chain for its insensitivity.
“We are apologising because it wasn’t our intent to offend anyone,” said spokeswoman Denise T Wilson. “Burger King Corporation values and respects all of its guests as well as the communities we serve. This in-store advertisement was running to support only local promotion for three restaurants in Spain and was not intended to offend anyone.
“Out of respect for the Hindu community, the limited-time advertisement has been removed from the restaurants,” she added.
Earlier this year, Burger King offended Mexican officials with another advertisement for the ‘Texican Whopper’ which depicted a dwarf dressed as a wrestler draped in the Mexican flag.
It is very common, according to the late Idries Shah (pbuh), for Sufis to be engaged in surprising enterprises, and many that on the face of it have nothing to do with “higher consciousness.” They can indeed be profitably engaged in a variety of conventional business enterprises, so much so that the hallmark of the real Sufi (as opposed the fakers with phoney “Middle Eastern” titles, and the crumby bogus accents to go with them) is their very real normalcy. Many times the first task is to prepare the ground through these mundane activities, for the actual Sufi thought to take hold. Often enough, undue touchiness has to be overcome about irrelevancies before the “real” spirituality can enter in. I only mention this as in the Telegraph article it was added that, earlier, Burger King had had to issue a similar apology, for an advert in Mexico with a midget attired in a toreador suit….

Anti-Politician is to-day exercised by the Speaker’s refusal to wear the wig:
I concur. It is low, vile self-adorative ‘me’ behaviour of the ‘baby boom’ lowest sort.
In addition to not having an ‘envy’ gene, which circumstance makes of me an awfully good Libertarian, I have also a ‘can do difference’ gene. So, ‘multiculturalism’ is a dead loss on me, I already do it…and very well indeed, I might add, being a muslim convert.
That said, it is no good on Earth for me to prostrate myself in front of all these foreign idols unless I pay at least SOME attention to mine own, as well.
Likewise Mr Bercow, pray, do don the wig, it is no part of a servant’s not to dress, Sir!

Le Jour de Bastille…A Bas Toute le Monde!
The above from Libertarian Alliance speaks for itself.
Also, the personality cited, painfully obviously could not write clearly:
‘I would love, for example, to see far-right libertarians thrown off the Guardian bogs [sic] as a matter of course – which might improve their appeal to many others as a result.’
People certainly do not write well. The ambiguity in the above lies in the not-clearly assigned ‘their’; I do expect, of course, that being flung out of certain places indeed means that I am not, for example, a ‘professional’ or other sort of paedophile, and that circumstance must surely conduce to make me more welcome in homes with small children at any rate.
In short, Art & Beauty do NOT stand the chance of crow in Hell in the internet…
…not compared to Murder & Invective they don’t!
Mind you I am not dragging in the Baby Jesus in the above link for yet another round of child abuse, in Islam we do NOT kill and eat Him all the time — just everybody else! 😉 — but Jesus’ babyhood image is part of our culture and this is a matter that makes me, I daresay, a bit of a conservative Libertarian? Sorry, I have to bugger off now and feed the pigs. (They are smart animals and keeping them also keeps away Homeland “Security” and the rest of the hogs & low(!)-IQ Inquisition….)
14 July 2009
Now HERE is a delightfully slanderous bit that reminds us all of the tabloid Old England that we all know and love so well, indeed:
Jesus, an appalling account…I, too, was perhaps destined for exactly the same mid-level of this sort of nose-runny thing, but my American mother took violent exception in the 1950s to the idea of “one of those schools,” and on my parents’ divorce that was, erm…aw…THET, hmm…. Our late mother was an extensive reader of Waugh, had spent the Blitz in London where she was a teletype operator in an iron-girdered under-basement in the West End, where she met our dad-to-be before sailing home in a convoy in the Fall of 1941. After all that — and marrying the fellow after the war — she knew whereof she dreaded, I daresay.)
The fifty-year-old son of the –, MN, chief constable is just such a dope hound also….
Dr Davis thundered in behalf of a certain Empire nostalgie de la boue, to-day…:
And so now, in the old farmhouse of my mother’s family, lo, these many years now, in Squawbunion County in southern Minnesota at the East upstairs office window, whilst it thnders and bangs away gorgeously at the sundown and rains away, I meditate my response:
Dear me, I quite think that we are all past past due for a nice fortnight at the seaside, hmm?
Though I will give you one ‘compelling interest’ alright for all these little ‘frontier’ wars, which is to take these young chaps in hand in order to tussle them around a bit, and teach them what paint is for and ‘yessir!’ and not to mind overmuch the near rustle of passing rounds.
Indeed, that may be, for England, what Afghanistan is for in some wholly magical and mysterious, hidden, way.
And, so, the American ‘governance’, belatedly coming on the need for something similar to train up the youth here, has in camera with her Zionist compadres striven mightily in the throes of an essentially East European ‘neo-conservative’ ‘vision’, fomented in the immigrant Reading Room of the NYC Public Library, to put the ‘Fuzzy’ and the ‘Wuzzy’ back into these ratbag Mahometans….
(I am now just winding up Mr Michael Glover’s little gidget about Rorke’s Drift and having my own ‘Empire woes’ you see. Damn, I wish Her Majesty would re-assert the prerogative, boot Mr Brown in his porridgey Scotch backside AND stuff Mr Speaker back under the Itch Mat! It is this loss of dignity, again, that is THE dire & fatally entire & summary fact, of our odious post-modern condition.)
15 July 2009
There is a wide intuition to-day in many quarters that centralisation, especially of what laughingly is called ‘governance’ by these types who so often cannot even control themselves — I am thinking this Summer of all the revealed thieving under NuLabour by English (‘UK’) MPs all these many years — is not necessarily a good idea:
I should only wish to add that from our example here in the Land of the Round Doorknobs you all in England (the ‘UK’) should be able to see clearly the historical fate that begins to overtake these large over-centralised whoreodoms, sooner or later.
I, personally, advocate a much looser confderation here, if not the option of outright secession by a state or states. That would be one way people could perhaps freely choose to go back to living under, for example, the original American constitution! It should stand a chance now, too, as the Public Liberals have applied this state-dissolving precedent to for instance Jugoslavia, another fissaparous pisshouse. But I see that “President” Obama was talking, no doubt apotropaically, about “national sovereignty” in Moscow recently, so I imagine some of The Skunks & Non-Productive Professionals are now within an ace of figuring (in American):
“Hey there…maybe we screwed up and this could turn around and bite US in the ass! What about our prestige? What about our ‘careers?’ What about our unearned prestige? What about being on Tee Vee all the time WITHOUT HAVING ANY TALENT WHATSOEVER? What about being a pain in the ass to as many ‘folks’ as possible AND THEN MAKING THEM PAY FOR IT — plus ‘all for their own good…?’ Doh!”
[Under my conception of a “Streamlined America,” we would simply give back the Southwest & California south of San Francisco to the Mexicans, it is no good to us anyway as European-Americans — we evolved in a nice cool rainy climate and are meant for grey skies! — and is simply full of gila monsters and the sort of thieving and, now, aged Republicans (and, Mormons) of the sort one doesn’t want in the neighbourhood anyhow, if only on account of the dreadful golf-boredom and the distinctly not-on Viagra munching. And, as far as I am concerned if it comes down to it, France or Spain can have the South – and, that load of so-called ‘whites’ there. BW]
21 July 2009
Mr David Davis to-day is earnest about the need to have at the statist cadres hammer & tongs, and call The Bastards ‘evil’ and a spade a spade for once (and not the President of the US!)
In this context, the commentor davidncl professed himself bemused by the wookean enterprise:
‘Is Bodwyn Wook a bit like a numbers station…? and there are people who spring into action at the sight of code words or summat?
The response at this point is that certain dervishes contend that nominative phrases such as Bodwyn Wook and 97 per cent are transformative memes. These serve to propel, for example, the libertarian narrative in a comprehensive way. This compensates so to speak for the range and the sometimes, or at least to some persons, disagreeable aspects of the libertarian narrative enterprise. This is composed of many strands, each suitable as persuasion to different psychological classes. But the entity is the thing, of course.
[On the other hand, some Sufis here would as lief stick in that the libertarian enterprise is also intended to stabilise certain categories or types in a comparatively harmless backwater where, indeed, they are objectively fostering values for the future.]
Again, the arguably more advanced, or at least intuitive, anarchical cadre have their point, too, about memes:
