Below is a photograph from the Summer-after-next. The careful reader will take this only for what it is worth. It is simply another example of the minor phenomena of temporal porosity that can occur, and do frequently, in the wake of successfully concluded Sufi operations.
It is not in itself intrinsic or in any sense “miraculous”.
It is merely an eddy, a condensation trail, or the effect of the release of a certain quanta of mental or imaginal energy in the collective human mind at the close of the late-modern age. This was effected by the worker Idries Shah (pbuh) in the course of his life’s work as ordained by certain figures then dwelling in the Badakhshan region of the Afghan lands. Shah (pbuh) was a great popularizer of Sufi ideas who worked prominently in the West between 1964 and his death, in 1996; part of the price he paid as a comparatively public operative was himself not to be able (“allowed”) to attain entire enlightenment before his death. It is a measure of the love he came to feel for all creatures through his devoted lifetime as a dervish who gradually became cleansed of his own greed and lusts, especially for prestige and admiration, that Shah (pbuh) was able to defer his own deliverance for the sake of informing others among the receptive.
The power of the work of Idries Shah (pbuh) on what Sufis have called this molecular scale of existence, in this relatively crude “Abode of Decay”, was great; and, it also released inevitably a certain amount of possibly harmful waste energy into the human emotional setup. This is always a matter for the refined calculation of the Sufis over generations and epochs; and, in this case it was also a source of great grief to him for a long time, as Shah (pbuh) said in his own words:
“With all the precautions in place that one can possibly imagine as to how this information is disseminated, sure as Hell my words will be a snare and a delusion to halfwits and hairpins!”
Any time a new increment of “spirituality” or just plain further insight is introduced, the naive thinking types who brood on mankind, the uplifters and the other emotionalists, will be derailed and potentially fired off down the rails of death to the cults. When new information is released into the human world, however carefully, it will converge likewise in the established vortices of human tragedy and chronic over-reaction; Old Mankato, MN, as will be seen in the following meticulous documentation, is such a downward zone:
Naturally, such locales have a hideous magnetism, not least for the secret tragedians and pessimists who claim to want the “betterment of mankind” but invariably converge on the scenes of atrocity and murder.
In this case, the image shown of these particular well-meaning white enthusiasts for all things “Indian” dates back to us from the upcoming 2012 sesquicentennial of the great and brutal Dakota Indian war against dishonest or at least baffled, alas always adventitious, white settlers that broke out in southern Minnesota in August of 1862; the so-called “Sioux” uprising happened starting on 18 August 1862 when white agents delayed once-too-often the delivery of needed treaty-payments and -goods to the suffering and bitterly upset Indians. For good or ill, they had signed a treaty eleven years before and striven to make the surrenders of land and semi-nomadic hunting lifeway demanded in it. The failure on the part of the government to keep the word of white people came on top of the fact that the Lincoln government was financially behindhand because of the emergency of the Civil War. When the Indians in a rage broke out, there were horrible scenes of massacre, and the whites in turn would take their revenge.
The people in the picture above are the post-contemporary white afficiandos in the fifth and sixth generations of “reconciliation” between red and white people, and they sincerely feel that the horrors of the past can be obviated by the well-meaning intentions of today. They are Professor Doctor Johann Kalvin Herd, an osteopathic-counseling clinician and sentimental fool, and two of the sort of impressionable females of the Great American Tornado Belt who are all too often drawn into the wake of these already-self-deceived charlatan “helping professionals”. Needless to say, they do not perceive the fact that their image has “leaked” back in time from a nearby future is a fairly important symptom; when human setups are infected with accumulating energies largely below the common awareness, whether of the ordinary individual or his normal social accomodations for order, tides and times of trouble loom and bode. Indeed, were the people in the picture to know of the existence “beforehand” of this image of themselves, they are the sort that would get excited and want to announce some sort of “a miraculous event” or “The New Harmonic Convergence”, or something.
Needless to say, such powerful events are not to be choreographed in the local exotic dance pavilions and ecdysiac temples [“…(A)t least not as a rule!” — Mohamet Naghmee] of such a place of shadows as unregenerate Old Mankato, MN, toiling and bleeding in its moral and psychological sewer under a reprobate subsidized curse-officialdom. And, so, to the kindly enthusiasts in our picture we may say:
May they be ever fortunate in the affectionate intentions of their pure hearts when purified.
And may the assistory Sufi efforts accessory to all the worlds foster the progress of success always in advance of stupidity.
