THE ‘Final’ Triumph of the Willful?
by Bodwyn Wook
‘Choice’, like ‘markets’ & Sin, is always present in the human social equation:
To ban anything simply means the chain-of-provision will 1) re-arrange itself & 2) with correspondingly higher rewards for providers willing to take on the self-referential ire of the Interfering Classes, the police & other ‘helping professionals’.
The poor by definition & as Jesus said in the fable will always be at a disadvantage in ANY of these regimes, or can we ‘really’ not see that?
What I want, therefore, is that personal choice as much possible remain in the hands of the person enduring the consequences.
As matters now stand, in any case, there ARE plenty of morally-adrift iatrogene medicos & their PAs working away, to-day & everyday, generating loads of Death, EVERY day:
These are the people — the omnipresent (!) morally insane & whose numbers rather do increase in all late-historical periods — that sour & bedevil every human social equation.
If anything, it is these vicious woskers among the Therapeutic Classes who are to superintended closely & very closely, indeed.
Moving right along & in closing, is it not indeed a bit silly to adduce as does the Guardian headline-scrivener the adjective ‘final’ to something as endlessly (!) volatile & protean as societies & economic arrangements?
This is about on all-fours with the peculiar conception of an ‘THE end of History’ put out a decade or so since by the acculturated Japanese-American ‘historian’, Fukuyama.
And, of the ‘permanency’ all of the other ‘thousand-year Reichs’.
